Listen, listen and yes listen some more.
A good leader never stops listening.
And at
it’s essence the ability to trust your team to do a good job. Engage them in
meaningful projects, leverage their strengths and developed their weakness; yet
not as such, but as an opportunity for the future.
Make the time to mentor
those who are willing or open to it.
Never micromanage, because it defies the
purpose of having a team and it’s not effective. Use positive reinforcement in
a meaningful way. Treat your team with respect and though they may or may not
like you, they will see you as a leader.
Always learn from your team, and be
humble about it.
On the other hand, unfortunately, most of the leaders is taking care of the people
who make them look good.
